Chesterton outline planning application approved
Release date: 16 January 2018
A special meeting of Cotswold District Council took place today to give further consideration to the outline planning application by Bathurst Development Ltd for a mixed use development at Chesterton.
The meeting enabled the Members of CDC to carry out a rigorous examination of outstanding matters, including education, traffic management, sewage, and a letter from the Local Plan inspector (setting out changes to proposed main modfications). Consequently, the majority of Councillors at the meeting voted to approve the outline planning application (17 for, 9 against and 3 abstentions).
UPDATE 14 March 2018
The Council has received notification that the Secretary of State will not be calling in the Chesterton application for determination. This means that the Council can proceed with issuing the decision once the Section 106 agreement has been completed - this is expected to take several months.
