Join the Corinium Museum team for an eventful February half term with Stone Age and Bronze Age events, including activities for families linked to the release of the Aardman Early Man movie in cinemas across the country.

We are encouraging families to enjoy our special Prehistory trail around the museum and then inviting children to draw a picture of their favourite Early Man character - with a goody bag supplied by Aardman Animations as the prize for winners in three age categories.

You can also create your own beaker burial at our family drop-in on Tuesday 13 February or listen to the Yarn Whisperer as he takes children on a story telling experience into the Stone Age and back again on Thursday 15 February. See the museum website for more details about all our specific events.

Early Man

Early Man is the new prehistoric comedy adventure from four-time Academy Award®-winning director Nick Park and Aardman, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, and Shaun the Sheep. Shot in Aardman’s own distinctive style, the film will take audiences on an extraordinary journey into an exciting new world, unleashing an unforgettable tribe of unique and funny new characters voiced by an all-star British cast.

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of courageous caveman hero Dug (Eddie Redmayne) and his best friend Hognob as they unite to save their home from a mighty enemy, Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddlestone), and his Bronze Age City.

StudioCanal is co-financing the film alongside the British Film Institute (BFI) and will distribute in its own territories, the UK, France, Germany, Australia and New Zealand, selling worldwide. The BFI is proud to support Early Man with National Lottery funding.
