Cirencester Town Council elections: update

Release date: 12 June 2017

There was only one candidate for New Mills Ward; a Notice of Uncontested Election has now been published. 

The Statement of Persons Nominated for Four Acres has also been published.  There are two candidates and a poll will take place on 6 July 2017.  Poll cards will be issued in the next couple of days.

Key deadlines for the Four Acres Ward election are as follows:

  • To register to vote, applications must be received by midnight on Tuesday 20 June
  • To vote by post, applications must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 21 June
  • To vote by proxy, applications must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 28 June

All relevant forms are available on the Council’s website www.cotswold.gov.uk  or can be provided in paper form by the Council’s Elections Team. 

Alternatively, electors can register online or download postal/proxy forms from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

If electors have previously registered, they do not need to re-register - but if anyone is in any doubt, they should contact the Elections Team as soon as possible.
