In most cases you will have to pay a fee when you apply for planning permission or similar consents (including planning permission, approval of reserved matters, consent for the display of an advertisement etc). Certain application types do not require payment, for example Listed Building Consent. Application fees are set by the government and are the same for all councils across the country. To work out how much to pay, please:
Please note: Applications which don't have the correct fee will not be decided until the correct fee has been paid.
If you submit your planning application electronically via the Planning Portal you can pay online.
If you submit a paper version of your application to the Council, you cannot currently pay online. To pay by credit or debit card, a self-service machine is available in the Council’s reception area or Customer Services will accept payment by telephone to 01285 623000.
Cheques should be made payable to Cotswold District Council. It would assist us considerably in the speedy processing of your application if you would attach separate cheques to each application for Planning approval and Building Regulations approval.
