Getting rid of large items

If you have a large item which you are unable to take to a recycling centre you can book a bulky waste collection.

Changes to bulky waste collection

Due to changes in legislation around the disposal and recycling of upholstered seating we have had to change the way we collect larger items.

Although all booked items will still be collected on the date advised in your confirmation email, this does mean we may need to collect some items separately so your collection may be completed in 2 parts.

Charges for bulky waste collection

The cost is £27.50 for up to three items. Additional items will be an extra £5.50 each. We can collect a maximum of six items. Council tax and housing benefit claimants who provide their claim reference number when booking the service will receive a 50% reduction.  See details below of what we can and can't collect.

Please note: This collection service is not available on bank holidays.

Book a bulky waste collection

Collections are from 7am and you will need to leave the items where they can be easily accessed, for example, where you normally leave your bins. We cannot help with moving them from your house.

We are unable to collect commercial waste or do house clearances.
