Reminder - nominations for local elections due by 4 pm on 3 April

Anyone who wishes to be a candidate at the Cotswold District and Parish/Town Council elections must deliver completed nomination papers and supporting documents by hand to the Returning Officer at the Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, Glos, GL7 1PX by 4.00 PM ON WEDNESDAY 3 APRIL 2019.
The deadline for receipt of nominations is statutory and cannot be changed. To ensure that a nomination is valid, the Elections Team can check the details informally before accepting the papers.
Nomination packs, and further information about being a candidate, are available from the Council’s Elections Team, or from the Council’s website.
Elections to the 34 seats on Cotswold District Council, and every seat on all Parish and Town Councils in the District, will take place on Thursday 2 May 2019. Polling stations will be open from 7.00 am until 10.00 pm.
Copies of the Notice of Election for both the District and Parish and Town Councils are available on our website, and can also be seen at the District Council Offices in Cirencester, and in each Parish.
The counting of votes will take place at Cotswold Leisure Centre, Tetbury Road, Cirencester on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 May.
