Free food waste caddies available for indoor use

Release date: 28 March 2017

Cotswold District Council has a limited number of free food waste caddies - for indoor use only - and is offering them to residents to promote more recycling from Monday 3 April.

Scott Williams of the Joint Waste Team says:

“These caddies are a good size and are ideal for encouraging more food waste recycling.  I must stress that they are not suitable for outdoor use and the contents must be transferred to usual external food waste containers for weekly kerbside collection.

“Anyone interested in obtaining a free caddy – while stocks last - should come and collect one at the Council’s headquarters in Trinity Road, Cirencester or at our Moreton Area Centre from 3 April onwards.  Anyone collecting one can also take extra caddies for use by neighbours.”
