The Strategic Transport Assessment assesses the transport implications of the emerging Local Plan and informs the package of interventions needed to support planned growth. It is supported by technical notes on modelling, policy, validation, forecasting, trip rates and intervention mapping.

The Strategic Transport Assessment Spatial Options Assessment Technical Note sets out the methodology used to assess alternative spatial growth options for the emerging Local Plan. It explains how transport modelling, trip generation forecasting and multi-criteria assessment have been used to evaluate the transport implications of different development distributions and to inform the selection of the preferred spatial strategy for the District.
