You can recycle glass bottles and jars in one of your recycling boxes.
No thanks: Please do not put broken glass, drinking glasses or tumblers, light bulbs or fluorescent tubes, Pyrex, sheet glass or toughened glass in the box. Standard light bulbs can go in your general waste bin, everything else should be taken to a recycling centre.
What to put in your recycling boxes and bags
Your recycling will be collected every two weeks.
Please make sure your containers are out by 7am on the day of collection.

You can recycle tins, cans, empty aerosols, clean foil, plastic bottles, tubs, punnets, pots and trays (including black), flowerpots made from flexible plastic and cartons (Tetra Pak) using your white bag.
Lids and trigger sprays can be left on plastic bottles.
No thanks: Please do not put crisp packets, pet food pouches, cling film, bubble wrap, plastic film or wrappers, coat hangers or takeaway coffee cups in the bag.
Use your second recycling box for paper.
You can recycle paper, envelopes, catalogues, newspapers and magazines and plain wrapping paper with no foil or glitter. Put any shredded paper inside a paper bag or envelope.
No thanks: Please do not put in cartons or plastic wrappers. Cardboard needs to go in the blue bag. Cartons can be recycled in the white bag.
Use your blue bag to recycle cardboard. All cardboard should fit in the blue bag, please make sure it is not overflowing.
You can recycle brown, white and corrugated card, and any greetings cards which don’t have ribbon or glitter on them.
Please remove any packaging tape from the cardboard before recycling it.
Use an old carrier bag to recycle small electrical items. Put the bag inside either recycling box.
You can recycle small appliances, children’s toys, mobile and digital phones, cameras, games consoles, tablets, e-readers, fairy lights, electrical cables and chargers.
No thanks: Please do not leave TVs, monitors, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes or anything large. These can be taken to a recycling centre.
Use an old carrier bag to recycle textiles and shoes. Tie the bag to keep textiles dry. Place the bag inside either recycling box with the lid on.
You can recycle clothing, hats, gloves, belts, scarves and handbags.
Use an old carrier bag to recycle batteries. Keep them separate from other electrical recycling. Place your bag inside either recycling box.
You can recycle AAA, AA, C, D, 9v, button, mobile and laptop batteries.
No thanks: Please do not leave car or motorbike batteries. These can be taken to a recycling centre.
