The Gypsy & Traveller Identification of Potential Sites Update assesses land and sites with potential to accommodate Gypsy and Traveller pitches within Cotswold District. It considers the availability, suitability and achievability of potential sites and identifies opportunities to help meet the accommodation needs identified through the Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Needs Assessment and support the emerging Local Plan.
The Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) identifies and assesses sites and broad locations with potential to accommodate housing and economic development across Cotswold District. It considers the suitability, availability and achievability of sites and provides evidence on the potential supply of development land to inform the preparation of the Local Plan and future housing and employment land supply.
The Housing Delivery Study examines housing delivery trends, development constraints and future housing growth potential across Cotswold District. It assesses factors affecting housing delivery, including lead-in times, build-out rates and infrastructure requirements, and tests the deliverability of the proposed housing trajectory to inform the emerging Local Plan and support the Council's approach to meeting housing needs.
The Housing Density and Optimising Housing Delivery Technical Paper examines residential development densities achieved across Cotswold District and considers how land can be used more efficiently to support housing delivery. It analyses completed and approved developments, identifies density trends and opportunities, and provides evidence to inform site capacities, design expectations and the allocation of housing sites within the emerging Local Plan.
The Housing Land Supply and Stepped Requirement Topic Paper sets out the Council's approach to meeting housing needs over the Local Plan period and demonstrates how sufficient housing land has been identified to meet those needs. They include site-specific assessments of deliverability and developability, housing trajectories, delivery assumptions and supporting evidence used to inform the housing supply calculations and stepped housing requirement set out in the accompanying Topic Paper.
